Whether it is illustrating the occurrences that happen in my life or those that happen in others, I have always told those stories through art.

I love to bring out the mystery and intrigue of characters and their environments using inks, paints, photography, cut paper, and glue.

New England influences my work. I grew up in Massachusetts and summered with my family in all but one of the six New England states. Now, Boston is my home.

I also live on Peaks Island in Maine where I find inspiration in the crows that outnumber the gulls, and the tidal pools that are like open windows into other worlds. Using these elements, everyday events, and my imagination, I create images with personal meaning. But stories are universal, so these are translated in different ways by the larger community.

I hope you enjoy your glimpse into these topsy turvy worlds that make up the heart of my work.
